Lois Lane says: JUST THINK, OUT OF THE SIX MILLION PEOPLE IN METROPOLIS, YOU AND I ALONE UNDER THE COUNTLESS STARS... Superman replies: WRONG - - THERE ARE 1549 STARS, TWO PLANETS, AND ONE ASTEROID VISIBLE TONIGHT!
Bluesky.
a person is looking at the cover art of 'the legend of zelda: twilight princess'. the text above their gaze implying their takeaway says 'if you have courage and motivation you can change the world even against insurmountable odds', while a red arrow flying over their head implying a message they're missing says 'you should get turned into a wolf then be ridden around and told what to do by a sassy imp princess'.
i will reserve judgment on the new evangelion project until they've released concept art of the new doritos tie-in
One of my favorite bits of niche Disney history: any instance of trademarked characters causing irrevocable damage to the environment.
All of this came out of literally nowhere, & we were just as surprised as everyone else to learn whatβs going on.
Our storefront will hopefully be a new, much less unstable home for our favorite titles and yours.
It also helps support us directly, AND you get loyalty points if you sign up! Win-wins!
This likely ties into why we're suddenly seeing Crunchyroll's release output tank. Thank you suits with the mindset of "nobody buys discs anymore" despite data showing otherwise.
Anime fans keep "winning".
Anyway, finally, more better distribution of Discotek Media titles.
How it feels to main a top tier when you have 0 clue how to play optimally
Canβt wait to see what the Critic Witch looks like. For now we only have her Familiars.
Yeah thatβs why Iβm not watching either anymore
You think maybe InuCurry/DorInu might maybe be mad at someone? Damn.
Inject Fate/Strange Fake straight into my veins. Iβm loving every second of this so far.

Aniplex calendar for January 2026 featuring Gurren Lagann.
I get this free calendar from the Aniplex booth at Anime Expo every year, and hell yeah, at least my birth month this year features Gurren Lagann.
Some can give $1000 and give nothing. Some can't afford to give $10 and give $11.

Incidentally this is also why your boss and middle management tell you that discussing your salary is gauche and unprofessional, because if most of you learned about your salary gaps you might get mad as fuck at them. The only ones that benefit from decorum and professionalism are power brokers.

In case Crunchyroll paying its VAs peanuts for theatrical releases didn't make it obvious, the amount that companies would like to be paying people is zero dollars.
We got gen-AI dubs from Amazon and gen-AI subs from Crunchyroll, but if you torrent a fansub that real people worked to translate, code, and stylize, you're the piece of shit.
To say nothing of the fact that adapters are expected to drop everything to be available for work that can be revoked at any moment. There are no employment protections, no stability, and the pay is now equivalent to a week of working at the Post Office. I know, because I accepted a job there.
If pay and turnarounds are continually cut during record inflation years, you are not only fracturing that backbone, you are stomping on it and demanding that it toughen up. You will continue to find yourself lacking in quality talent because you have chased it off.
Dubbing will continue to stagnate until serious time and consideration is given to the pattern of severe undercutting that is prevalent in the industry. Budgets are getting slashed on workers who were already expected to cut corners with low pay. Adapters and translators are your backbone.
This isn't just a matter of voice actors, either. It's clear there were no voice directors, engineers, mixers, script adapters, or QC involved in this process as well as voice actors. Not if "finjer" got to the final cut.
When your priority is racing to the bottom in terms of budget and turnaround, this is what you will be left with.
Why would I bother to compete with this as an artist? If this is all corporations are willing to invest in, and they want to use my work to train+create more, why work with corps?
