unpopular opinion, i kinda like the optional battles of the second half, they basically make the game into a "let's see how well you know the mechanics" challenge run, and it's optional at the end of the day

could've done without repeating the temple fights, tho

quasi-spoiler-but-not-really alert: if you didn't like how bravely default handled it's second half you'll be pleasantly surprised by how bravely second handles it
