As someone who's worked in rescue before, I can tell you they are inundated with calls and emails from people who never show up. Their volunteers are stretched to the limit and it's the animals that suffer. If you're serious about adopting, physically get down to the shelter and don't give up 🐕❤️

You should try running for an election with that answer 🤣 I was curious what the reason is but ad you say, each to their own. I've not attended any of the meets but I have attended a couple of their talks and found them well organised.

So my #Colitis has been flaring for a while now, incl when I was in the hospital 3 wks ago. I'm on Amgevita (like Humira). They did bloods, which showed I'm low on B12. Over a week waiting on a prescription for injections to fix it, today I'm given more tablets instead 🥴🤦🏻‍♂️

As someone that has previously been involved with a charity doing something like this, it's usually the a case of not having the manpower and resources to do it. Calendars and Christmas cards tend to make the most money so we concentrated on them, though every year we considered dropping them 🙈
