Today UESF members ratified their historic 2025-2027 agreement.
Our IFPTE Local 21 SFUSD members are proud to stand in solidarity today and always. Congratulations to our UESF siblings! 💪📚
"By cutting our climate workers we are at risk of not meeting our clean air goal (net-zero 2040). There is great momentum for that goal, but by cutting the funding to the plan through these employees it is directly affecting our ability to execute them."
We stand in solidarity with our union siblings and the dedicated clerks of the San Francisco Superior Court. This fight is about fixing backlogs, delays, and avoidable mistakes that directly, negatively impact the public. It’s time for a fair contract!

Yesterday 2/25 SF Bay PSR’s Dr. Bret Andrews spoke at rally to SAVE SF’s Climate Plan & Equity Hub! The cuts would make our city less safe, harm health & lower-income communities, and be fiscally reckless. The climate plan is essential for protecting our health and children’s future.
Today we rallied outside City Hall alongside a massive coalition of San Franciscans to call on the city to fund SF Environment, fund our future!
“You cannot cut climate staff and reach our climate goals.” — Nicole, SF Environment Specialist and Local 21 member.
As we actively negotiate our next contract, we’ll keep pushing for investments in city workers and strong public services.
Stay tuned for ways to get involved! 💪
Last night, our City of San Jose union coalition had an opportunity to present on insufficient staffing levels to Council.
While our 2023 contract wins helped fill long-standing vacancies, San Jose remains the most thinly staffed agency in the state.
“It hurts to think that we might not be able to continue serving the city anymore.” Stephanie explains the important work done at SF Environment to meet our climate goals.
Without climate staff, there is no Climate Action Plan. Join our rally today in front of City Hall at noon!
Hear from Nicole, a San Francisco resident who works day in and day out to help meet our goal of net zero emissions. Right now her and other environmental specialists are at risk of being laid off.
Join us for a rally Wed. 2/25, noon, at SF City Hall to save SF’s Climate Plan!
Local 21 members joined with nurses today at the Contra Costa Regional Medical Center to protest the County’s attempt to dismantle the Enhanced Care Management (ECM) program.
Laying off nurses, nursing managers, and homeless services specialists will harm patients and must be avoided.
Ramadan Mubarak to all who observe from Local 21. 🌙
In this season of reflection, discipline, and generosity, we recommit ourselves to justice, compassion, and collective care for our communities.

SFUSD students learned more about solidarity, power, and love this week from UESF and all who supported them than they could possibly have learned in school for the week.
Thank you educators for showing the way 🙏
Educators in San Francisco are doing everything they can for their students, even as classrooms are stretched thin. SFUSD needs to step up with real investments in staffing and pay. Solidarity with UESF educators fighting for the great schools our children deserve.

"Instead of siphoning tax dollars out of our classrooms & into a savings account, our #SFUSD needs to invest in fully staffed classrooms & fully funded schools. Our schools are in the wealthiest city in the world’s 4th largest economy & administration should not be scrimping on students’ futures."
