No GOTY piece this year - so I'm just gonna post this (created from my9games.com). Admittedly a couple are from 2024 (Minishoot and Crypt Custodian), but I discovered them this year and they are legit bangers. Not the best turn-based year either. But here comes 2026!

I can actually already play 1&2 through modding sites and by loading the original discs (which I own). However, the third (Wolfe Age) is completely unavailable and the discs do not work in modern machines, so yeah, if just for that...

That sounds good? Taking the Steam example, a private company owned by a decent exec can be good. Considering what GOG does and promises to do with game preservation and supporting mods, I think this looks good... All they need to do now is figure out how to get the Myth (Bungie) series on GOG...
This is awesome! I especially love the subtle callouts to Overland (my favorite Finji game - that one NEVER gets enough love IMHO). Let's see if I got them all:
1) The van with roof rack & green truck
2) 2 cars, 1 with metal siding
3) Hat guy syphoning gas
4) Trash container
5) 2 dogs with backpack
I know no one uses EGS, but if you get it free, it's pretty worth it. Especially for the turn-based indie gem, SKALD. Highly recommended for those you love old school gaming with modern conveniences.

In Weepstone, quite a bit of XP will actually come from finding treasure. To score them, you will need to place them safely in a Trophy Case (WIP).

That was very interesting and you make good points. I agree it seems archaic and unnecessary in this day and age (as an OG 1e+2e player back in the day). I’m not sure why people get so bent up abt number crunching, but I they do, I guess
