Now there is a very real chance of “Own Goal” being our golden boot 😆
I have done this before, but find I keep going back to the original idea most occasions. I think if there’s enough inspiration with the initial idea, that’s the one to pursue. Doesn’t hurt to have starters for new tunes though!
I’m very much the same in my process…
Working through patches or samples, combining sounds until I strike something I like and think can work. The most trouble I have is getting an arrangement I’m happy with. Sometimes I have too many ideas and want to use all of them in the same track 🤣
