Icarium and Kruppe, Oil, Alla Prima, 5”x7

Been listening to the audiobooks of Malazan and decided to try my hand at oil painting. These are my second and third attempts. Thank you @cthuleo.bsky.social for all of the tips you gave me!

Oh yeah. Won’t make that mistake again! I know about resolution and have made many a print, I just didn’t know how to do it on the app. I’m just old and used to physical media 😂

I’m an artist by trade already, so it would be hard to find time for side projects. I just did these for fun! I read a lot and It’s fun to draw/sketch as I go.

As for time, it depends. I have a toddler and work long hours, so I draw when I can. If I added it up it’s probably a full days work each.

Oh, I’m an artist by trade! It’s just my first time drawing in this style. I don’t usually do illustrative or pen and ink, and usually just do realism.

Ah shoot, my MacBook is 16 years old and for sure can’t run anything so fancy. The iPad is also old and has just enough memory for procreate. I’ll keep it in mind if I get anything more updated! It’s all so new to me. My husband said I did all of the drawings low resolution and I didn’t even notice.

What’s that? Is it something I should get? I’m so terribly behind on technology and have only ever used physical media until recently. My husband is showing me how to use his iPad and I’m always having to ask him for help when I use procreate. The more knowledge the better!

Thank you so much! I’ve read everything by Adrian Tchaikovsky, and while reading this one, realized there was no fan art. So I decided to make some! He’s definitely my current favorite author.
