I suspect a big part of it is the fact that games can now be updated. With something like a movie, people are resigned to the fact that they can’t change a bad one. I wonder if some idiots think that this harassment will somehow net a game they want to see.
I say this as a Linux user:
“Come to Linux, you get full freedom! No, you’re not allowed to use that freedom to run Windows”
