I accidentally made a horror game!
NaNs happen randomnly when looking at large depth differences. Due to spatial-temporal denoising they spread, and they spread faster with lots of camera movement.
The only way to escape is to quickly find an uninfected part of the screen and zoom in.

I think the new chunk-based water simulation is almost done! Still need to deactivate stale chunks & update the lower LODs, but the base sim works perfectly now, integrated with water bodies created by the world generator.

TIL: There were different GPUs between earlier + later PS1 models that resulted in noticeably different graphics.
NPCs adapting their sitting poses to the furniture.
One benefit of enabling foot IK for sitting animations is that sometimes the NPCs will unexpectedly adapt their foot positions to the quirks of the furniture in really organic looking ways.

Not sure if everyone who played Goldeneye is aware but buried in settings is an option to use 2 N64 controllers as “dual stick”, left for movement right for aiming, and you can still use the Z trigger underneath for shooting
