I think I'm gonna give it to 5:00. If she's fine, I'll slip back to my room and sleep and Joe can deal with her when he wakes up. She's staying home from school.

It's been more than an hour since she was last sick... Do I dare try to close my eyes? I can't play on my phone forever but also I don't want her to choke if she's sick again.
I did at least grab a blanket. But I don't have my CPap in her room so my snoring might wake her.
...Probably going to doze long enough to be able to drive to my mom's tomorrow to borrow her washing machine to wash her big comforter because it's just a bit too big for ours.
Welp. I'm not sleeping tonight. Little just puked in bed and just as she was dozing off, had to run to the bathroom again. So, I'm in the rocking chair recliner making sure she sleeps and it doesn't happen again...
Did I just seam rip 4 skirt panels because I completely rethought how I'm working this dress? Yes. However, I can sorta use my machine so it won't take 3 days to put back together.
Tuesday might be above 40 degrees! I might dig out my cloak and go do a photoshoot in the park.
I agree with your partner.

To the snow plow angel who helped me and my husband dig out my mom's driveway so she doesn't have to worry at midnight when she returns home, thank you and all the blessings. You truly were a God send and we wanted to pay you but you drove off.
All that's left to do is hem the skirt. I can probably knock it out tomorrow. Pin it in the morning and sew while at work.
I have enough fabric that I can make the dresses promised to my daughter and niece and make a second one for me! But, w/ the go-to rectangle panels. We'll see which I like more.
Slight sizing error. The bodice is bigger than the skirt so I had to get clever but it should be fine. I was kinda mashing 2 patterns from 2 different Etsy sellers together and the sizing is clearly different.
Going to do a try-on at home, as tempting as it is to try it in the bathroom at work, ๐
I think I'm getting faster with my eyelets stitching. I was able to get into a flow between this morning and about half my shift at work. I got all 22 done! I brought the shoe laces with me and tied up the bodice and then attached the skirt.
It needs some work. I need to flesh out the details a bit more but the bare bones are there and I am so excited ๐ I've been struggling for MONTHS! And then falling into Sew-crastinating to avoid the anxiety of it. But, I think I got it!!
I figured it out!! I was struggling so hard with how to finish the final few chapters of New Witch on Campus. But, while listening to the Seven Miracles of Beatriz Holland by @rachaelherron.bsky.social , it clicked in my brain and I was able to knock out the Big Bad confrontation scene!
My mom's fur baby, gold border Collie, Muffy. She lived a good long life.
The Rainbow Bridge has a new resident. Your pain is over, sweet girl. You will be missed.
EEEEE!! New book! @rachaelherron.bsky.social Got this as a Christmas gift from my brother in law. I CANNOT wait to read it!
I'm pro-craft-inating again. I found a small ball of glittery acrylic yarn and am crocheting a belt for my black dress
Went ahead and scheduled the final three chapters of Adventurers of Thira for free to all. Monday, Wednesday, and Friday this week. So everyone can see the finale of book 1.
And check out everything else on my Substack. I want to hit 100 subscribers in 2026

Had to share this from my drive home. When playing my Peanut's favorite Christmas song
Oof. This is what I get for ignoring the darts in a pattern. It'll work as an under piece but I want to wear it as a regular dress! So gonna recruit my mom to tweak it.
Yep, this is not surprising to me #spotifywrapped
I want an eco tank so bad!!
And I'm already loving the book. But, that should give some indication of what my next project will be. I'm so excited to get going but I also have a May goal for "New Witch On Campus!" So, how do I focus on what needs to get done and still keep the enthusiasm for this next one? Halp!!
In today's Substack post, I talk about a possible project I really want to work on. But, I'm forcing myself to finish my edits first.
But, I did take advantage of an Audible deal so I can start researching. I got "A Life in Stitches" by @rachaelherron.bsky.social

YES! Prayers answered! No school! I don't have to drive in the shit weather. Woo!!
Just a small splurge on fabric yesterday because I was in desperate need of retail therapy. So now I'm set with sewing projects well into the new year.
My husband's so sweet! All he had to do was move the shelves. He also moved all the junk in the corner. Now all I have to do is box up my desk stuff and we might be able to move the L desk tonight!
The last 2 items in my to do list are a mood. I woke up with a headache and on the edge of overwhelm after doing so much yesterday
And I've hit my wall. Joe said they'll move the shelving tomorrow out of the room
One bookshelf clear!
