Excited to share that my translation of Wong Yi's ้ปƒๆ€ก "Overseas Bride" has been selected for BEST LITERARY TRANSLATIONS 2026. This is a timely story about the losses involved in immigration, esp. language, & is a love letter to Cantonese. Congrats to all the translators & thank you to the editors!

Having spent the past couple days recording the English audio guide for the Xi Xi Space, I have a newfound respect for voice actors & people who record audiobooks.

My shortcomings as a voice actor aside, Iโ€™m very excited that the Space will open next month & that I can be there for its launch โœจ

For most of our existence, WWB has received funding from the NEA. Now, like many others, we must chart a path forward without it. But our readers still deserve access to dazzling global writing. Please donate or share our work to support our mission of bringing the world close through literature.
