You mean the beautiful, industrious, and majestic Gorst? Thanks for checking out the talk! Also here is the JS port of the app, if you want to compare and contrast.

Tonight is the night for SeattleJS!

Come through Just The Tap to hear @justincastilla.bsky.social tell us about automating his commute planning using LLMs and MCPs.

See you soon!

@elastic.co 's Agent Builder is basically a Build-A-Bear store for creating custom #a2a agents and #MCP server tools and I love it! I have 100k of manufacturing logs and it chomped through them like it was nothing. I love this evolution of LLM-focused data retrieval!

In "Memory Serves" S02E08 of Star Trek: Discovery they've ran an analysis of a space probe from 500 years in the future. A crew member states that the probe used multiple SQL injections. My sweet space siblings in Christ, why on God's green Galaxy are we still using SQL in the year of our Q 2758?!

Afraid, by Chalk from the album Conditions III

Daughters is done. Daughters is over. But sometimes you crave the darkness and the sexy chaos. You want to grind your tooth against the floor until it hits the root. But Daughters is gone. May I recommend Chalk? Belfast always coming out with those sick bands.

At the MS Build conference they announced new Azure data centers that are epically huge and complex and amazing. They also boasted 100% renewable energy consumption and using eco-friendly building materials such as laminated timber product and bio-sourced micro-algal sandstone in the concrete...

I have two tutorials on 6/9 and 6/10, "Introduction to RAG: Building Conversational AI for Domain-specific Search" and "Clean Your Filthy RAGS! Optimizing, Accelerating, and Evaluating RAG Applications." One to ease into creating your own AI helper bot and one to fine tune performance :)

Introducing Elastic Distributions of OpenTelemetry β€” Elastic Observability Labs Elastic is proud to introduce Elastic Distributions of OpenTelemetry (EDOT), which contains Elastic’s versions of the OpenTelemetry Collector and several language SDKs like Python, Java, .NET, and Nod...

We wanted to both run automatic and manual instrumentation with @opentelemetry.io on a @nextjs.org application directing the telemetry to Elastic via EDOT (www.elastic.co/observabilit...). Easy to describe, not 10/10 straightforward to figure out, but very rewarding to see running. #observability

Got to pair program with @jessicagarson.bsky.social yesterday and a bit today on an @opentelemetry.io and Elastic project that we both wanted to explore. Just to state the obvious: even established developers can still benefit from using their words and sharing their brain power to get stuff done!

Since I have the privilege and access, I might set up an Observability program with my house. I'll be the trace and the spans can be my daily comings and goings. Just requires a LOT of IoT devices and a little bit of code everywhere. This could be fun or creepy.

Has anyone installed a smart monitor onto their power panel? I'd love to track that data and play with it. Figure out hidden cost/energy-sappers and make better informed decisions.
