A few years ago I caught a woman stealing from my car. Didn’t hurt her but she started to cry when the cops arrived. They gave me shit for holding her. Apparently I was supposed to allow her to take my stuff & the police would deal with it later. Made me feel like the criminal.
A combination of ridiculous laws that don’t allow citizens to protect themselves or their property & a police force that doesn’t give a fuck got us to this point. Essentially EVERY DAY an asshole was allowed to rob this store & the cops couldn’t figure it out.

Cutting funding for the Halifax student bus pass program is a stupid decision. Tim Houston looks at cuts through the lens of a man worth 8 million dollars. If he lived in HRM instead of on Sobey Island, he could afford bus passes for his kids. But he’s totally blind to the families who can’t.
