Just as I untangle history and symbolism in thought, my eye works to decipher the visual tangle of branches and leaves, translating it into understandable forms. I hope these paintings evoke the same sense of awe I felt beneath the coffee trees.
Seeing these strong symbols that encapsulate so much meaning fills me with a deep connection to those who came before me. How much of this city's essence depended on this fruit, and how many lives were shaped by its cycles?
These studies aim to capture my experience during the coffee harvest at @cafezalurbanoib with @institutobiologico in May 23, a powerful encounter with São Paulo’s history and rituals.
