We're pouring concrete for the third and final section of the Hudson Yards Concrete Casing! The tunnel floor is finished, and we're making progress on the walls. When it’s complete, the concrete casing will connect the new tunnel to New York Penn Station.
We’re almost finished installing the slurry wall for the Hudson County Access Shaft! Once that wall is complete, we’ll begin excavating the 120-foot-deep shaft.
Workers are back on the job in Manhattan and in the Hudson River! We’re continuing installation of the slurry wall for the 12th Avenue Access Shaft and stabilizing the riverbed to prepare for tunnel boring.
Construction is resuming at all our sites this week. At the tunnel portal in North Bergen, we’re continuing construction of the launch box where the tunnel boring machines will be assembled and start tunneling. The components of the first machine are on site, ready for assembly!

Workers were shutting down construction at the Gateway Tunnel sites Thursday as Friday's deadline looms to restore federal funding.
Nearly 1,000 workers will lose their jobs immediately when construction of the Hudson Tunnel Project pauses tomorrow, and an extended pause will put many more jobs at risk.
Funding must be restored ASAP so these hardworking men and women can get back to work.
