Surprisingly, I don't hate that paneling. I wouldn't put it up now, but if I moved into a place that had it, I'd probably leave it up. Shag carpeting I'd have to rip out, but not that kind of wood paneling.

You know what's even more disgusting? That foreign policy atrocities only affect U.S. elections when fuel prices go up and large numbers of American soldiers get killed. Seven dead soldiers won't move the needle as much as fuel prices will. #AmericanPriorities

The mentioning of disco reminds me that there are some parts of the 1970s that we should leave behind.

Never forget that the economy Jimmy Carter got blamed for started under Richard Nixon. No gasoline had to be rationed under Carter.

Houston man pardoned for Jan. 6 crimes now wanted for online solicitation of a minor | Houston Public Media Andrew Taake, 36, was released from a federal prison in Colorado on Jan. 20, despite a request from the Harris County DA's Office to hold him on a pending state warrant from 2016.

Not using the felony murder rule against the January 6 insurrectionists was a monumental mistake.

I will forever insist that not using the felony murder rule against the January 6 insurrectionists was a monumental mistake.

I wish I shared your confidence, but every time I start to believe it, western society proves me wrong.

All the cults I know are still intact: the Catholic Church, all the Protestant faiths, Judaism, Jehovah’s Witnesses, etc. They all have to die a natural death in their own time.

I didn’t say a single word about you in my last comment, because I don’t know you or who your chosen candidate is. All you’ve offered so far is what you don’t like. For all I know, you could be a Trump fan.

I voted for Bernie in every primary he's been in, but I can accept it like an adult when my favorite candidate loses, because I can count the votes.

Hillary won the 2016 nomination fair and square, by winning more votes than her opponents. Conspiracy theories don't hold up.

...and I blame Biden for waiting so long to withdraw from the race, not Kamala. She stepped up when we needed her.

The sad truth is that many Dem voters are misogynists.

Imagine if we had a balanced budget, and taxpayers were on the hook for money spent by the people they elected.

I realize deficit spending has its place, but I hate that we keep burdening future generations with our debt.

Seems more like kicking a man when he's already down, but either way, the analogy works.

Right, but giving up a couple future draft picks might be worth an upgrade.

Looking back at how we traded away Okposo last year, there have to be a few more great players out there who want to jump in for the Sabres' playoff run.

I resented Okposo for doing it at first, but he made up for it by retiring.

I wouldn't. The economists I know have pretty inflated egos. They know they're right. They knew when they warned us.

I'm always concerned about Democrats being Democrats. If they understood the value of party loyalty half as well as Republicans, they'd control the country.

...and many other fronts as well. I still can't believe Dems threw him under the bus for a bad debate performance, paving the way for Trump to get back into the White House.

Nobody forms a circular firing squad quite like Democrats.

That's true, but in the post Vietnam War era, the country no longer mobilizes for war. With a small all-volunteer military and no draft, most Americans aren't affected when the country goes to war. That is part of the reason Congress has been willing to surrender accountability to the POTUS.
