The Source itself as far as the road bridge at Kemble will be accessible but maybe a little squidgy in places. Beyond Kemble to Ewen & Ashton Keynes I can’t say I’m afraid. We’ve had a decent amount of dry weather over the last week or so, so I’d expect the path to be muddy but passable.

The #ThamesPath in flood yesterday at the Source in Trewsbury Mead near Kemble. The spring by the stone was happily burbling away. With more rain forecast over the coming days I'm sure it'll stay this way for a while. Just don't forget your wellies and be careful!

DEFINITELY NOT!!! 🤣Having got my feet wet I can now rest easy
I was going to pop in there on my way back to Strood but a bus was due - and as you know, they are quite a rare sight!
And as you know, the 1st time I forgot to press the record button on the drone 🤣
But that's the nerd in me! I did actually walk back to Allhallows to get a little bit more out of my day
I was reminded by @andysin33.bsky.social that you're not finished the full 232 miles #ThamesPath Source to Sea until the water laps your feet at Grain Beach. So, even though I reached Grain a couple of weeks ago with @keld16.bsky.social , today I went back & well & truly completed the trail 🤣
Thanks a lot Andy. A round half dozen is DEFINITELY enough. I have my eyes on more coastal walks for 2026. I'm resuming the GCW on Monday. Having to do out of sequence as my sister & I still haven't been able to fix a date for the last leg of The Ridgeway
