They really are great, but also the opportunity to hear a solid run of Cure songs with fellow Cure fans (giving it their all in Play For Today) is a rare thing and not to be missed. The band are doing a Siouxsie ATB showcase in a few months - so I’m looking forward to that too 🖤
Yes and another on bass too.
Lead singer & guitarist Penny from the band Other Voices performing on stage at Double Whammy in Auckland NZ.
I saw a covers band recently who put on a superb 3 hour Cure showcase - Other Voices, from Christchurch - and they were so good I flew up to Auckland at the weekend to see them perform it again, an epic set with songs from 3IB thru to Disintegration! An awesome night 🖤
The Human League are coming back to NZ and I have a whole year to be excited about that!
I watched this live and it was so stressful for me 🫣 😬
Thanks Cheray 🫶
A test shot of a purply pink strong aurora behind scattered clods. There is a silhouette of a tree to the left of the picture Photo taken east coast South Island of New Zealand 20th Jan about 11.15.
Bedroom window test shot. But summertime auroras arrive late, I’m tired, and it’s clouding out. Better luck for Aurora watchers under clearer skies.

Oh love him!
I said exactly the same thing! I was so looking forward to it as well.
I think maybe stop/start concert footage is not for me, I didn’t enjoy the cinematography at all, but the sound was also hard going for me. Like I had the system set up spectacularly wrong.
Well I was very much looking forward to watching Depeche Mode on Netflix. Lasted about 20 minutes and turned it off.
It really is. I love it so much, and it is perfect late night listening for me 🖤

Day 8. A perfect song for late night listening
Alone | The Cure

It made such a difference. I honestly cannot bear seeing all that other stuff. I am a keen news fiend but not so much a cesspool of reckons fiend.
The Cure feed has become my default feed and I often forget others even exist, love it in here 🖤🎶

Oh we have family there, too, Miri!
You will love love love it whatever they play 🖤 I’ve only seen them twice - 92 London + 2016 Auckland (cos life/family/geography - the year they played Akl while I holidayed back home in the UK was very disappointing) & I’ll take whatever they give when I eventually see them again (manifesting!).

Wembley Stadium 93! Fantastic show!
All 3 dogs were happy to sniff around the fungus but not touch it. I suspect if we did prod it, it would’ve been game on!
A medium sized black dog wearing a red collar is sitting on the grass. In the foreground are some red stinkhorn fungus growing out from the edge of a pile of wood mulch.
Red stinkhorn fungus. In the grassy ground next to the mature fungus are white bulbs which will emerge as red fungus.

A group of tiny lake cram bonnet mushrooms growing in woodland. There are moss covered fallen branches in the background.
An unexpected find while walking some local trails this morning - stinkhorn fungus. I was careful not to disturb as have no wish to smell one. Plus a pretty group of teeny tiny bonnet mushrooms. Picture of the stinkhorn with Lucy for scale.

Thanks! They were everywhere.
