Another dnd commission piece!
A thank you illustration featuring characters from my graphic novel, The Magic Fish. The protagonists, a bespectacled young boy and his mother, are up front, reading from a golden book. The background is populated with characters from Donkeyskin, The Little Mermaid, and the Vietnamese Cinderella.
I made this little illustration to celebrate The Magic Fish making back its advance way sooner than I expected and its Harvey Award, and I’m still so grateful to every person who advocated for this queer book.
