Finished a silly NUKED! add-on detailing the Fraternal Order of Vermotologists. Basically Scientology but if they were really into Frank Herbert instead of L. Ron Hubbard and if they were harmless idiots instead of actually rather terrifying.

Hard agree with most of these points! After running mythic bastionland I realized that what I want is a heroic fantasy osr adjacent game. Players really liked the gambit system that made them feel more powerful.

It's one of those retro-future streamline robot guys that you would maybe see Superman fight in a Fleischer cartoon. Behind on the left you can see from the waist up another such robot which has been dealt with similarly just before. Above and behind all this is jagged red lettering over a jagged yellow outline reading DESTROY next to dimensionalized sans-serif letters reading "A.I." (quotes included) over a 🚫 symbol. Under the reeling robot are some important anti-AI talking points rendered in rough maker-style hand lettering: 'Bad at Everything! Kill the Planet! Brain Atrophy!' I could go on but there's only so much space in one drawing. All of this has been worked up digitally to look like it's a vintage screen printed t-shirt design with cracked and worn plastisol inks. In conclusion, fuck your AI.

The party has found themselves in The Catacombs Hex. They have not encountered this myth at all, so on the fly I’m running the myth as an impromptu dungeon. It’s been great. They now are in the Undead’s Arena, as the king of Bones watches on.

That’s been a GMing technique I’ve been using. Taken from story games, I’ll ask leading questions about what things look like, or why they look that way.
I’m lucky to usually have player that “Yes, and” off of simply described things. Sometimes it leads to unintended stories or significance.
Best one to make at home too.
