Barahur, captain of the gates of Templehof. This is one of my favourite undead models ever, with tons of personality. I'm amazed at how quickly it was to paint up to a battle ready standard.

A bunch of teeny greenskins for Mantic. Main learning point is that I should not glue the minis on the base until I've painted them.
Also, paining small scale minis is hard, y'all.

Having painted about 45 skeletons for a 500-point force last year, I can attest that at 4-5 points each, you're going to need more skeletons than you'd think.
Of course, I foolishly opted for the new GW skeletons, with all the armor and clothes and details.
Sorry for the picture spam, but this is the full Averland patrol in all its finished glory. Maybe I should consider getting a game in at some point.

Finally back to my Empire patrol force. Today, the test model of the unit of knights. More specifically; knights of the Order of the Black Bear. The fairly obscure order is perfect for my Averland army.
Pretty happy with how he turned out. Now, on the rest.

I’d say the line is the end of second/start of third. Plastic multipose marines and dark eldar are the harbringers of middlehammer.
Paint up these guys was a chore, but it’s finally done. A full regiment of the Averland border patrol, including detachments. Probably the last things I will be able to paint this year.

If we have constructed a system in which it is deemed impossible to reject fascism, then that is a system which must be dismantled. Not 'should be dismantled', *must*.
And that's the second unit of skeletons done. Still need basing, heraldry and some slight touching up. Army shot will follow once that's done.
Next, something else. Probably some more terrain and after that an army to go up against them.

I didn't manage to include my rising skeletons on the base, but I'm saving it to decorate the base of another model with. Possibly a certain Lichemaster.
