With those 6 done I'm gonna take a small break from the horses for now, I'm still deciding between Celestia or Chrysalis for the next horse to draw

yeah thats a good way to look at it, honestly most of the time I'm not even bothered by it I just feel it every once in a while

On one hand, I'm glad that I'm forcing myself to do things that I'm not really confident on like shading, but at the same time I do have a small bit of that feeling all artists get when the piece that you spent not much time on is the most popular one

It's funny that with each pony pic I just gave myself more crap to do, that Pinkie sketch probably took like a half hour tops then I decided to add lineart, shading, and now backgrounds on top of it
