And another
And another
Tune.
For me, it was pirate radio, when a dj could seemlessly switch between soul, house, hip-hop, whatever, without having to be tied to a genre. Very good days.
An absolute belter. I was briefly a broadcast assistant on an RnB show on the Galaxy network 25ish years ago and the presenter asked me to choose some tunes from his box for the back-in-time feature. This was the first one I handed him. Funny, it really wasn't even that old then!
When this came out I was too young and naΓ―ve to have any idea what that woman was making all that racket about.
When it came on the radio, I'd turn it up. Can't imagine what my parents would have thought π³
Let the best hit em β€οΈ
Enjoy! I saw PWEI for the first time last year. They were my favourite band when I was 10, but I was 46 when I finally got to see them. A great, very loud, night.
I happened to see these perform in HMV in Liverpool entirely by accident. Bought the album off the back of that and still return to it from time to time now.
Yeah. I'm in.
I was walking through some woods with a colleague on some work business this week and genuinely had to fight the childhood urge to pick up every conker I saw.
I'm giving a load of my old stuff away just because.
Actually, no, let's be honest. It's to build up a bit of a mailing list for when I've got something new. Anyway, go grab one.

And you can tell where someone comes from when they say "Home and Bargain" :-)
We watched all three of those, one a week for three weeks, with our eldest when she was 10. She absolutely loved them and it was great for us to see them again. Those films are properly worth returning to.
If I thought for a moment that that would still be there now I'd pop down and grab it! What a great idea.

Nice one. Thank you!
A picture of a CDR with "So Long prov mix 22 edit" written on it in marker pen.
Going through the archive stuff has been a lovely reminder of that period of my life when I had the time to work through *22* mixes of a track before I was happy with it.
I can confidently assure you that none of the new stuff has had anything like this level of quality control.
Just a reminder that two more tracks from the archives went live on Bandcamp yesterday, featuring the unique voice of Billie Holliday, sampled from a wonderful live LP of songs and interviews from the 50s.

Some more tracks from the archive have just gone live on Bandcamp.
Featuring vocals from the first lady of jazz, "Two Kinds of Blues" is two haunting and atmospheric tracks with that unique voice, smooth synths, dubbed out piano and laid back beats.

Here - have a code for some things I made a while ago. These are actual sung songs that came out under a different name. One of the tracks, "Adrenaline" did really rather well.
