Felt truly blessed to be at todayβs Sri Sudarshana Narasimha Isti. Grateful for the prayers and the love of our Telangana and the wider community.

International Womenβs Day is a day of celebration & acknowledgment, but also a time to focus on the work still to be done. With Pay Equity stripped away over the past year we are reminded of the need to keep organising for change.
Happy International Womenβs Day!
The Friends have done an amazing job over the past ten years helping to restore the Wairiki Stream - a big thanks to the leaders and volunteers. Then a steep walk up Gillette Ave and home on the 68 bus.2/2
My weekend walk this morning was along the Waikowhai Coast which has long been a very special place for me. A lovely clear morning with stunning views out over the Manukau. I made my way to where Friends of Wairaki Stream had organised a volunteer cleanup which I was able to join in for. 1/2
This evening we held the second public meeting of our campaign in Three Kings. It was great to hear from, and speak to people about how we can help make New Zealand a more affordable country for all.
Thank you to everyone who came out, and to all our Mt Roskill Labour volunteers for helping today.
Hear from Malcolm Rundle, one of the original tenants from the 580 Hillsborough Rd development.

While this Government makes it as hard as possible for our communities to vote, weβre heading to Roskill South for another Day of Action to enrol as many people as possible to vote, and we need your help!
Weβre going to doorknock, phonebank, run enrolment stalls, and more.
As Chris notes, the people of Iran continue to suffer. They must be foremost in our thoughts, and efforts to achieve peace and freedom at this time. 3/3
A 'might is right' approach in which countries with military means can attack others with impunity leads to an even more dangerous world and opens up the same option for others. 2/3
π§΅Good statement from Chris Hipkins below regarding the alarming situation in Iran. Both the brutal repression of its people by the Iranian government, and the attacks on Iran by Israel and the USA are clear breaches of international law. 1/3

Weβll be at the Arthur S Richards Memorial Park in Three Kings this Saturday with snacks, drinks, activities, and everything you need to check your eligibility and enrol to vote. Details below, come along!
The senior state housing at 580 Hillsborough Rd was a special place for lots of people. I visited the site with Phil Goff to talk about some of his memories of the place while he was MP for Mt Roskill.
20 years later, Councillor Goldsmith (now Minister) finally got his wish, he gets to see homeless people arrested. www.rnz.co.nz/news/nationa...
We can have a debate about immigration policy or the NZ-India Free Trade Agreement without statements that demean and diminish a group of people in our country based on country of origin. It's cheap politics solely designed to generate votes in an election year. We can do so much better. 2/2
This week saw another attack on the NZ Indian community by a senior Government Minister. Shane Jones talks about our Indian community like they are an external threat, not as a positive part of our community who have contributed over many generations here in Mt Roskill and across our country. 1/2
Pleasure to attend @garypayinda.bsky.social campaign launch yesterday, an awesome turnout and I had the privilege of running as auctioneer. Congratulations to Team WhangΔrei for pulling together such a strong start. The vibe was absolutely electric. Wishing you all a successful campaign ahead.
"It's sad but true to say, but Winston Peters and NZ First simply cowered behind the ACT Party during this process and should not be taken seriously as representing any workers' interests whatsoever." #nzpol
NZβs Indian community is a part of our social fabric not an external target to be whacked for cheap votes (2/2)

With unemployment rising, health services struggling, and young people fleeing NZ we should see this most recent attack on our Indian community for what it is - the ageless, wretched use of blame and distraction by a cynical populist. (1/2)
Iβll be in Blockhouse Bay next Thursday for a public meeting. Come along! Details in the post.
As we welcome the Year of the Horse, thank you to our Chinese communities for everything you contribute to the social, cultural, and economic life of Aotearoa New Zealand. Wishing you all a happy and prosperous year ahead. (2/2) #nzpol #aotearoa #newzealand #nz #politics
Happy Chinese New Year | Gong Xi Fa Cai!
It was wonderful to join our Chinese community for a spectacular New Year symphony concert. Events like this remind us how music brings people together and reflects the vibrant diversity of our country. (1/2)

A great new store in our community and a welcome step towards revitalising the Mt Roskill shops. (2/2)
Great to help open Istanbul Halal Meat & Groceries at the Mt Roskill shops yesterday. Istanbul is a new life for the long-standing butchers shop; under new owners and with a wide variety of items available including meat, snacks, cooking supplies, and beautiful handcrafted items. (1/2) #nzpol #nz
Kia Ora not to worry, we donβt use AI in our images. This photo was taken at a home we did door knocking in and there was a friendly dog that we took a photo with. Thanks :) πΆ

Iβll be at the Chilli Bar and Cafe from 10am - 11am tomorrow, Saturday 14th, to meet with locals in Lynfield. Drop in for a chat about the issues that matter to you!

Some great chats in Blockhouse Bay as we get on with our mission of hitting every street in the electorate.
Thank you as always to our incredible volunteers for leading the charge as we win back Mt Roskill!
