have been looking forward to this series for a while, as Katharine Burr Blodgett has been someone I wanted to learn more about ever since I first started looking into the history of surface science, nanotech & corporate research. grateful they interviewed several real experts & also yours truly!
A looseleaf sheet of paper with the following writing: βReminders. 1. You could spend forever working on this book and it would still not be perfect. 2. You will not please everyone and those people who arenβt pleased will probably never be pleased no matter what you do with this manuscript. 3. There are people who will read this work with interest. Write for those people. 4. You invested a lot of time in this work and it deserves to be read; the story deserves to be told. 5. You can finish a first draft of this manuscript. 6. The reviewers will ask for changes so you will have to revisit it anyway. So it is okay if it is not written as tightly as you would like.β
