lol alright hereβs what Iβve got:
awesome, wonderful, fantastic, wondrous, fabulous, fantabulous, wicked (sl), marvelous, stupendous, inspiring, above and beyond, omg, amazing, whoomp there it is
βReally greatβ π€£
Itβs a whole elective course, I believe two weeks long, with different presentations by guest speakers and βfield tripsβ etc, I think daily. Itβs taught/led by chaplains. Will see if I can find public info on it or something to share ππΌ
Each of the past 3 yrs Iβve presented as part of the βArt of dyingβ elective at Icahn med school (at Mt Sinai in NYC) and can attest to the deep interest and need to learn more that med students there feel about the topic
I've written about what dying typically looks like - not as a 'pro' or 'anti' AD piece, but in the spirit of confronting a taboo.
We've lost the easy familiarity with the patterns of dying that existed when death typically occurred in peopleβs own homes.
Let's talk about it π
