Younger women are becoming more and more affected by cervical cancer, which is mostly avoidable. Girls who receive the HPV vaccine at a young age (preferably between the ages of 9 and 12). To preserve lives, we need to make early vaccination a top priority.

Father involvement in preventing teenage pregnancy is crucial—active dads guide better sexual health decisions for both sons and daughters. We must include boys in education efforts too, teaching responsibility, contraception, and respect in relationships. #TeenPregnancyPrevention #Fatherhood

Sports provide rural youth with a sense of purpose, discipline, and collaboration while keeping them away from drugs and paving the way for better, healthier futures. We believe that organized games and training build community spirit.

Water scarcity in rural Uganda makes menstrual hygiene a daily struggle as girls must walk long distances for dirty water, miss school, & face stigma. In our Wholistic Approach to period poverty, our mission is to make schools WASH-friendly so that young people can thrive.

Lack of information leads to dangerous choices in reproductive health. Dreams of the Tropical Youth Uganda runs school- and community-based trainings on safe options for menstruation and family planning to reduce risks. Together, we have the power to protect girls’ and women's rights.

Youth without jobs struggle with mental health issues, including depression, as a result of their unrealized potential. In order to teach young people the fundamentals of business and encourage creativity, we wish to expand entrepreneurship opportunities.

Our parent workshops teach fathers and mothers why educating girls matters long-term. In one session a dad committed to funding his daughter's supplies. Attitudes change when facts are shared openly. Help us reach more families with these eye-opening talks.

Child marriage is still common in our communities. Our awareness sessions reached over 110 families and helped delay or stop several cases. Girls deserve childhood and education. Continued support lets us talk to more parents and protect more futures.

Menstrual cups last up to ten years and save families money on pads. We trained over 2,500 girls on how to use and clean them safely. Attendance improved, and shame is gradually disappearing. Every cup we provide changes a girl's entire school year.

In Rakai district teenage mothers often drop out forever. Last year, our program gave 13 young moms school fees, baby kits and counseling. Most are back in class to continue their education. A small donation keeps this door open for another mother.

We donated sanitary essentials to 100 girls at Nabigasa primary school in Kyotera and there more need.

Dreams of the Tropical Youth Uganda refuses to let this happen to more girls. That's why we're launching vocational training for 30 vulnerable girls in hairdressing, bakery, catering, and home economics, practical skills that lead to real jobs and independence.

Girls in our community are dropping out of school because they can't afford pads.

Without education, many end up like Harriet, just 15, pregnant, and abandoned by a 47-year-old man. Now she's a young mother with no skills and no way to provide for her baby.

I attended a workshop on vulnerable children in rural Uganda and it was eye-opening I must say.
It highlighted the struggles these children face, including limited access to healthcare, education, and love.

In our work at Dreams of the Tropical Youth Uganda, we’ve seen firsthand how alcohol lowers inhibitions and blurs boundaries, leaving many youth vulnerable and exposed. It undermines the very efforts we’re making to promote informed choices, consent, and safety.

Alcohol use among young people is more than just a lifestyle issue — it’s a serious public health concern, especially when it intersects with their sexual and reproductive health.

None that I have heard of. But then why repeal something already operational without a better plan for a new alternative. I think they are just selfish people

What’s their alternative for healthcare? Looks like they are undoing progressive public goods.

Bigots just, so does she mean that we in Africa are not worthy of anything? Historically Africa has been disenfranchised but that doesn’t mean that we are in short of potential.

We are first class brains stuck in third world countries.
