I don’t think so. The answer is obviously no.
Instead of answering questions not asking, Minister Anand should clearly lay out Canada’s position on Israeli & US violations of int’l law. Someone has to.
For the entirety of this now week-long war on Iran, its expansion to multiple theaters, & its reverberations on affordability + anxiety among Canadians, the PM hasn’t just not been in Canada, he’s barely been available to Canadian media.

The core flaw w Carney’s doctrine of “principled realism” or “principled pragmatism” IMO is that its diagnosis - the rules based order is dead - leads to the conclusion that Canada should curry favour with the government that did the most to kill it.
Canadians appear deeply uncomfortable with that.

The paradox with Carney's thinking on the rules based order is that while he says it's dead, he also aligns himself - most recently, with the war in Iran - with the very states who are destroying it, one war crime and violation of the UN Charter at a time.

So true. It’s almost amazing… And all of this has happened while the PM and key ministers are out of the country, also make a mess on messaging re: Indian foreign interference. I didn’t expect it from Carney who I thought would run an exceedingly tight ship.
