It’s such a bizarre strategy. His numbers are going to fall a lot lower across the board when inflation spikes and shelves are empty. Not to mention all of the gov’t service impacts and destabilizing *everything*. Does he think 6 months out from midterms he can lift everything and all will be fine?

FWIW, searching online, $500/sq ft seems to be the upper end for high end homes in CA. The $1,000/ft number I have not seen corroborated elsewhere. Ofc costs will be higher after mass-destruction events like this one due to temporarily stretched resources. What additional $ that translates to… idk
