Part of what I adore about Caves of Qud is that it is _not_ entirely procedurally generated. You can see a lot of human touches in the characters and quests you encounter. The staticness of the human touch makes the experience far better!

I have a friend who said, of Starfleet Academy, that this took them out of it - that seeing a person in a wheelchair in the 32nd century seemed unrealistic, since medicine in Star Trek "should be able to cure whatever was wrong with them."

Gillie, Bip, and Idrisah all look with concern at Talita, who is slumped face down on the nose rig of the front loader, arms hanging limply, with her damp feathers in the air. The towel has fallen off her shoulders. Idrisah: Do… Do you want a hug? Talita picks her head up and turns back to them miserably. Talita: …Yeah… She sits down near her friends, and Gillie and Idrisah wrap their arms around her torso for a group hug. Bip watches from the webcam, their avatar looking thoughtful.
Talita wraps her arms around her friends, rests a cheek on top of Idrisah's head, and relaxes into the hug. Bip turns their webcam towards the the front loader, holding up its newly attached articulated hands. They reach out with them and gingerly grasp the group of women with the metal manipulators, who look down in surprise. Bip: Best I can do, sorry. Talita: Thanks, Bip.
