I think it's been a huge fucking fumble that tech bros are the only ones extracting value from it (here "value" is scamming people out of money and "democratizing" access to things that don't belong to them—aka thievery).

It could have been done better. It didn't have to be so dystopian.

I am deeply struggling with this every day, the more I "experiment" with AI, read about it, learn how it works.

I see the value of it as much as I see the evil of it and I feel like such a fucking hypocrite about it every fucking day. But I can't extricate from it because of how I make my living.

My tinfoil hat observation is that humanity at large is forking off into disparate directions.

If no one will step up to build technology whose functionality isn't predicated on harmful engineering, then people will have to choose what they value: convenience at any cost, or *life*.
