Ugh, yeah.
My child's generation had their lives interrupted with covid, back to school and the entire world is beholden to a paedophiliac madman, and we're all here trying to navigate how to make sense of this without filling their heads with despair.
Yeah, good times, felt like real change was within our grasp.
To be fair, we did get hunting banned, but I worry it's gonna be a while before my child's generation has a similar sense of agency or optimism.

The funding for the third chapter has been approved. I understand it was predicated on the success of chapter one. Clearly, successful enough. Fucking relief for me, I've enjoyed them all (even weeks)

I know you meant this as a compliment, and I agree with the sentiment, I just think that she probably wouldn't have liked her protest associated with such a phallocentric notion of what it takes to be brave in the face of patriarchal abuse.
I like this. Reminds me of the idea where, when you find life tricky, you imagine being the protagonist in a film about yourself: try to look interesting and windswept while making sensible decisions to further the plot in your favour.
