Ireland’s basic income for the arts scheme becomes permanent When piloted, initiative that provided €325 a week to eligible artists recouped more than its net cost, study shows

We need more schemes like this! They make the state money and ensure world class creative talent can become world class creative talent!

Maybe calling out Reform as the party of billionaires fails as a slur because alignment with billionaires feels glamorous, exciting, and aspirational to many people?

A reminder that Reform's candidate for Gorton and Denton, Matt Goodwin, has still not explained what he meant by this claim that developments in genetic science will make younger generations more right wing as they understand the "inherent differences" between different groups

Do you want to see people executed on the streets of the UK defending children and their families from immigration raids? If YES, vote Reform!

Let’s be clear: if the Palestine Action hunger strikers die, the government will bear moral responsibility | George Monbiot The three remaining hunger strikers have been convicted of nothing. Yet with astonishing cruelty, ministers refuse to listen to their reasonable demands, says Guardian columnist George Monbiot

If the Palestine Action hunger strikers die - which they could do at any moment, as they are now very close to the end - it will be the government that killed them. Today’s column explains why. Please share, and write urgently to your MP.

β€œAll episodes available now” is such a TV red flag. If you had a great show you’d eke it out, make us wait for it.
It’s got β€˜just gonna dump this mediocre thing I made here, and move on’ energy.

As far as the political class is concerned, the BBC has always been Batman at the end of the Dark Knight. β€œWe’ll hunt him. Because he can take it.”

Everyone thinks it’s biased according to their prejudices. Every government can show they’re intervening to fix this. And that works for all.

What you’re witnessing is a populist assault on the BBC.

This is not an institutional scandal in any meaningful sense of the word. It is an attack on public service broadcasting.

The BBC hold powerful, corrupt people like Farage, Musk and Trump to account, of course they want to destroy it.

10.11.2025 13:22 πŸ‘ 2 πŸ” 0 πŸ’¬ 0 πŸ“Œ 0

The fact that the BBC has made serious culpable errors does not negate the point that there is a real and concerted right-wing media campaign to destroy it. Both points can be true at the same time and the campaign would not end even if the errors did.
