Reminded me, I found this kitbashed "R3" motor online and it brings me much joy
Was tempted to paint it in New Haven colors or an earlier NYC scheme, but, whoever made this did such a nice job, I'd hate to mess it up
When you turn your camera a bit too far on the photo line. Woodstown Central Railroad steam locomotive #9 passes the photo line during the Friends of Philadelphia Trolleys Charter last year on September 21st.
tip for anyone searching for interurban information, LOOK IN THE ELECTRIC RAILWAY JOURNAL. they are almost all scanned in on internet archive, hathi trust, and the smithsonian website.

I forgot to post this yesterday.
Jennies have now been coaled and weathered.
Small, but perfectly formed. This Marquette & Huron Mountain caboose would be the perfect prototype freelance shortline's cabin.
My K-3q had a run around the club on Friday.
Her top speed is lower than Id like but that would require a full rebuild to change.

Polish state rail operator PKP Intercity is launching a series of special "unhurried" weekend journeys along picturesque routes in restored 1980s carriages with historical locomotives to celebrate its anniversary.
NdeM No. 3034, a 4-8-4 "Niágara" type locomotive. It was built in 1946 by Baldwin.
NdeM No. 1150, a 2-8-0 "Consolidation" type steam locomotive. I forgot when this locomotive was built.
FCM No. 40, a 2-8-0 "Consolidation" type locomotive. Built by Baldwin (iIrc) in 1881.
NdeM No. 601, a 2-4-2T type locomotive. I have no idea when this guy was built.
So I visited the Museo Nacional de los Ferrocarriles Mexicanos yesterday, & I took a decent amount of photos.

A black and white picture from around 1900. It shows a short passenger train at a station going away from the viewer, just behind and above there is another train passenger climbing up a bridge about 20 feet (6 meters) above. Further in the background a mind train crosses a high metal trestle.
I hate when model railroaders keep squeezing in more track and more bridges into a scene. So unprototypical.

City Island's monorail in 1910.
#DidYouKnow City Island in the #Bronx once had its own #monorail? When the monorail opened in 1910, it was the only monorail in the United States. It ran from Bartow Station (a now long-forgotten ruin inside Pelham Bay Park) to Marshall's Corner, and over a bridge to the tip of City Island.
