Trying out Bleak Sword DX, a little action combat focused game with an incredible retro-diorama aesthetic. Not very far yet but enamored with its presentation.

Today packed up a lot of my retro games and stuff from closets. Def getting too old for moving. It'll be fun to set up the retro games room (NES, SNES, N64, Genesis, Saturn, etc. with my old CRT) once we get moved though!
Magic cards on a wooden tabletop. This deck is the βVeloci-ramp-torβ precon.
Break almost over⦠got one more daytime weekday brewery trip in with bonus Commander. Meanwhile has some great beers.

ty! I am like 500 years old now
Shishamo, striped bass and salmon ceviche, chicken kara-age
Matcha cheesecake and a yuzu crème brûlée
Belated birthday dinner; went to a favorite Japanese place. Couple of nigiri/rolls not pictured because I was too excited!
We have a bunch of themed tabtletop game playlists with music from all sorts of games, but when a track from Octopath Traveler comes on I always notice. What a killer soundtrack.
yeah it had a bunch of cool stuff in there; wild to think that used to just be... normal. Buy a game, get neat things in box.
Tub full of large PC game boxes: Ultimate Doom, Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego, Bladurβs Gate and Tales of the Sword Coast visible on top.
Cleaning the garage out today and finding a LOT of nostalgic stuff (personal and games related).
Bowl of beef noodle soup with mushrooms, green onion, ginger, and sriracha. Sriracha and black vinegar nearby.
We made a really good beef noodle soup. Even better the second day! Mood improved.
What are some you're working on? Always looking for more to add to the pile...
A peacock hanging out on the roof of a white-bricked house against a grey sky.
We see this fella on our walks all the time (and sometimes hear him). Good blue chicken.
Definitely what I'd do with my time if I ran into enough money that I didn't need to work on games I can make a living working on lol
Mine would be to build a MUD (fully text and all) from the ground up, all the systems and world-building and everything.
Parfait! So inspiring π₯°
oh no I can't choose between her and Rika
Hey, there are dozens of us!
Fully text-based MUD. I wrote some rooms for some long-forgotten one when I was a kid, but my biggest dream would be to build one now from the ground up. Born just a little too late!
Definitely seems like a good space saver!
Haha, believe it or not I kind of like the mess of dice and cards (I blame it on spending so much time with screens for work); it looks like a great option for streamlining things though!
Magic: the Gathering cards in piles on a table. From Galea, Kindler of Hope Commander pre-con deck.
Been working on and off for a while cutting Commander pre-cons down into βBrawlβ versions. A few of the decks are too politics-focused to work well, but itβs a fun exercise (and I can play with more decks without a pod).
I struggle with this, and with magical thinking that if I feel good, something bad is going to happen. It's pretty insidious, but I've gotten better at coping over the years.
Woke up with this one in my head, but been a minute since I listened to any Baroness. Banger tho. www.youtube.com/watch?v=H6sG...
had the totally rational thought just yesterday of "You know, I should start a brand new MHW save..."
Accidentally broke keys unlocking doors while refactoring things in my text game. Now I actually have things working right again (please be true). The thrills of game development? Sometimes progress really doesn't feel like it!
Want to make a first person dungeon crawler set in a mall in the 80s that's slowly sinking into hell (but somehow make it not TOO Stranger Things).
Two absolute powerhouses. Both demand a lot but give back exponentially (and tbh Qud even has difficulty modes now that let you see more of the game if you're not into permadeath).
100% sign me up, relevant to my interests, etc.!
Strategically went right at opening so I could play whatever I wanted haha
It is! Iβm a little north so this is the first time Iβve made it down to check it out
