Just set up the still to distil @styler.bsky.social 's dried French lavender into lavender hydrosol, and maybe some oils.

It's gonna smell pretty great here soon.

Maybe you stare at your phone because so much of our history as humans on this planet we spent our idle time being... not idle.

We would always be spinning yarn and cordage, weaving, whittling, sewing, darning, repairing, making...

Maybe... You need to something to do.

He was probably popular with the Facebook crowd who blame everything on cycle lanes.

That's not early on. That was after 13 years as our ward city councillor and in the middle of his six years as a MP with a party in government.

Many attempts to get him to help his people.

Later he announced running for mayor, and lost as Whanau won in a landslide.

I had a bingo card square that he'd join nz first

Labour was in gov when we tried to meet with him for help with the violence in the kainga ora complexes in strathmore park, and the homeless who moved families from sofa to sofa instead of living in the violence.

This was in his electorate.

He sent his staff instead and did nothing.

He was a seat warmer mostly. Not surprised people can't remember which party.

Are we going to have daily announcements from the prime minster on how we save the cars?

13.03.2026 19:47 👍 9 🔁 1 💬 2 📌 0

My "in New Zealand, cars are citizens" theory of politics remains absolutely undefeated.

The gov ain't gonna let workers wfh.

The devastating impact on central city office landlords would be too much.

And why not do what we did with climate change: just declare it's not happening

we'll have an inquiry years later, commissioned by Act, saying the petrol crisis never happened anyways

Amazing offer if you want to make your voice heard at InternetNZ AGM and board election (two roles to fill this year) but can't find the money just now. ♥️

Remembered to rejoin InternetNZ, in case the Free Speech Onion tries their entryism scam again.

Also, free prescriptions, solar subsidies, house profiteers paying tax, kids not able to start smoking, a new high tax bracket, clean ev car discount, public services staffed, central gov responsible for clean drinking water, sewage, flood mitigations, and prob less Tiriti back sliding.

Ex Chatham Islands Council chief executive Paul Eagle apologises as audit exposes 'excessive' spending The former Chatham council CEO edited quotes and contracts in a $250,000 project to upgrade his own accommodation, in what an inquiry says was "exceptionally poor judgement".

The MP who did nothing useful as our rongotai member of parliament is up to worse than nothing.

He was alright at chairing meetings. But the rest of the job he was just vibing.

It doesn't matter what the problem is, you can always blame cycle lanes.

If we hadn't spent money on a few cycle lanes then we could have [solved every problem]

If we demolish the lanes, every problem will go away

(but then we'll have to blame women, or brown people, or both)

Yes, given I bought an $800 smoker a month ago, and it should be a warranty replacement of the broken probe.
