That's mostly what I have too, but I believe they announced the change around the time Hasbro was really pushing some bad ideas. It might be something they feel they have to do instead of want to do.

Dry brushing is your friend! They have so many little angles and textures that I think it's a strong choice for nearly every one.

It absolutely is because that place closed down. I had to go back to the big chain stores where the employees knew even less than I did.
I used to go to an art store where the owner would straight up tell me "you don't NEED this thing, use X object you can find at home instead." Did she lose out on 5 bucks? Maybe, but I trusted her with my life and went back when I needed more stuff. I miss those experiences.
