We loudly and clearly oppose bigotry and hate against people based on their sexuality or gender identity. We are also of the firm believe that human-made climate catastrophes won't stop happening if we tell the weather it is a liberal-metropolitan plot.
Richard thinks we're pretending to be neutral while covertly poisoning Scottish education with our agenda. But actually, we are open and proud in our support for gay rights, trans rights, feminism, and the fight against climate change.
Richard Lucas, leader of the reactionary Scottish Family Party, has written to The Herald complaining that our organisation continues to attempt to secularise education, even though we already dominate the "moral landscape" of Scotland on "gay rights, trans rights, climate change and feminism".
The Scottish government has just passed a bill into law that offers a state mandate for discrimination against non-religious children.

He also explained how the bill creates a hierarchy of belief systems with Christians at the top, because it lets children opt *into* religious observance against their parents' wishes, but not vice versa. Mind-boggling stuff.
In a great explainer for The Herald last year, academic Andrew Tickell explained exactly why this bill is so insidious. He outlined the ramifications of a recent supreme court case in Northern Ireland, which found that obligatory religious worship at school amounts to indoctrination.
