Many thanks to my friend Marianne for soldering on loops and attaching a chain so I could finally hang up my stained glass piece by our friend Debbie.
I finally got it anchored in and hung in the master bathroom so I can see it every day. ❤️
Last year I cut our naval orange tree way back. This year it produced about 12 gigantic oranges. This one is the biggest and heaviest, but they're all about the same size. I'm going to zest and juice them. I'll use some of it for orange rolls and put the rest in the freezer for later. 😁
1 of my volunteer jobs at the Arizona Artists Guild is helping coordinate the painted rocks fun days. We're having one on Sunday May 3rd for a Mother's Day brunch and rock painting. See the website for more info and to sign up.

I finished this painting today. My hands are tired, my heart is full, and my brain can relax. I'll be applying for a couple of shows with it. Next step is to get it framed. That's a project for this weekend.

Last night I went to life drawing at the Arizona Artists Guild. Our model was amazing and perfectly still, wonderful to draw. After the warm up sketches, I focused on portraits. These were 10 and 20 minutes. I've been taking an hour on faces drawn on my watercolor portraits.

Here is the newest tiny portrait I finished yesterday. I had a few big things on my mind over the past couple of days, so it's not the best likeness, but it's done. My goal with these is to practice to get better, not have immediate perfection.
