That game was a vicious circle of nervousness - the players, the coaching staff, the fans
It gives the opposition hope, run that little bit further/faster, go for that 50/50, take risks - they could smell blood from half time. 2nd goal should have killed it

Madueke did really well when he came on, but it became obvious very quickly they should have swapped to give us dual wing threat instead of neutering the left side with an uncomfortable/lost looking Saka

Disappointing not to get all 3 points & to go 9 clear, it just invites the predictable narratives
Ode not at it (second game in a row), physically bullied, home game player
Gyokeres personally improving, but still not contributing enough to the team, he’s got until Kai is fit to claim his spot
Also distinct lack of full gas sprints back on transition from all players with last line focusing on delaying, less so in the second half, but I wonder if this is conscious tactic to reduce torn hamstrings
Strange game
Our press particularly in the first half was suffocating. We by passed their press/lines into huge pockets of space that we didn’t know what to do with at times

Ridiculing? Religion is a load of nonsense, but that’s an overly dramatic reaction there
