iirc the 101 translation that exists rn is mostly ai :(, though i remember following someone working on their own (real) tl on youtube with decent progress, ill prolly wait for that to finish, but i did recently start reading shizuku since it was finally translated recently

switched to linux a few months ago and surprised by how low-friction of a change it was, loving it.. wish live 12 worked better w/ proton but im just using a parallels-like vm handler for it, so far no other issues getting what i need working.. i like how i can customize everything how i want it

a quick example, ideally id cut out the eyelashes more fully with the knife tool but the basic idea is a pupil mesh and then an eyelash mesh in front of it (and then a mesh behind it to serve as eye whites, not shown here) and then edit the meshes into blendshapes that can be blended between -

ive been experimenting w/ eye textures but as planes with cut out components like eyelash and eyeball and animating those using blendshapes.. a middle ground between flat texture eyes and fully modeled rigged eyes
