PyCon US accepted my talk! Third year in a row, which still feels a bit surreal. 🤯 I'll be talking about Python dictionaries this May in LA. First time in California, can't wait! 🇺🇸

One of the things we discussed: a lot of the best programmers in the industry are deliberately not using AI. Armin thinks that's actually a problem, because new developers who are starting with vibe coding end up without good mentors. The people who could guide them the most are the ones opting out.
I talked to @mitsuhiko.at, the mind behind Flask, Jinja and Rye, about AI agents and the future of programming. The full episode is out!
I chatted with @mitsuhiko.at (creator of Flask) about building a startup where 90% of the code is AI-generated, which languages work well with AI agents (spoiler: not Python), and what skills programmers should focus on to stay relevant.
Full episode coming soon!

Because @europython.eu and its community are close to my heart 💞, I’m running again for Vice Chair. I’ve shared a longer reflection and thoughts on what we should focus on next on my blog: clytaemnestra.github.io/tech-blog/ep...
Over the past term as Vice Chair of the EuroPython Society, I’ve had the chance to work with an incredible community and help move the non-profit forward, especially around long-term sustainability. It hasn’t always been easy, but it’s been deeply rewarding.
We talked about how AI music generation actually works, where it helps the creative process, and what risks and legal gaps it introduces.

With Spotify now removing over 75 million AI-generated tracks, the conversation about AI music suddenly feels very real. 🤯 In my new episode, I invited someone from both worlds: @mamodrzejewski.bsky.social, a professional musician and AI researcher at the Warsaw University of Technology.
About AI-generated music with a professional musician and AI researcher @mamodrzejewski.bsky.social. Coming next week 👀

🪲 Every developer has that one bug story.
At WebExpo, @clytaemnestra.bsky.social will unearth the wildest ones, from cosmic mishaps to everyday “how did this even compile?” moments.
When she’s not hunting bugs, she’s building tools at Ataccama, helps lead EuroPython & hosts Behind the Commit.
Why is FastAPI so popular? 🔥 What’s FastAPI Cloud about? ☁️
I had the chance to chat with @tiangolo.com. I’ve admired his work for years and it was so inspiring to hear his perspective in person. 🥲

With two of them being experienced podcasters, I was definitely the nervous one this time. 😅
🚀 Python 3.14 is out and so is 3.15 alpha! I chatted with @hugovk.dev, @pablogsal.com, and @lukasz.langa.pl about which release was the least successful, why release notes always say “and now for something completely different”, how Python actually gets released and many more!

If someone had told me I’d end up filming a short with Guido, I wouldn’t have believed them! One of the things I love most about tech communities is how approachable and open everyone is.
This keynote was a lovely run through of famous and bizarre bugs from @clytaemnestra.bsky.social, so great that the video is up!

Team #PyLadiesCon at #PyConUS 🤩
It's so fun working with this group 🥰. We're all always looking for ideas on how to further serve our community and to fulfill the #PyLadies mission to bring more women as leaders and contributors of the #Python open source community, making space and opportunities 💪🏻
So excited for PyCon US! If you’re around, come to my talk at 5:15 PM today to hear some wild stories about bizarre bugs, or come by the @europython.eu booth to say hi and grab some stickers!
In other news, I met @mathspp.com on the last flight (which was delayed due to bad weather around IAD). And the we met @clytaemnestra.bsky.social and a couple of others upon arrival to PIT.
Took a pic w/ Rodrigo to mark the start of #PyConUS2025

Had the pleasure of keynoting at DjangoCon Europe last week and it was one of the best conference experiences I’ve had!
Huge thanks to the amazing Django community!
There’s so much more I’d like to say, and since it couldn’t all fit, I wrote a post here: clytaemnestra.github.io/tech-blog/dj...
