This scavenger hunt is so charming and smart and actively engaging. It gets New Yorkers out and about, exploring the city, talking to one another, taking advantage of public transportation and working toward a common cause. The levels! It’s just so great.
think it’s kinda healthy to regret life choices sometimes
do i even really want what im emailing about?
sent. only took ~3 days 🤷♀️
ykw this is not fun anymore, I refuse to be terrorised by some made up timekeeper. loss aversion instinct has been milked so much im over it.
Anybody else see how this is kinda mafia-coded, or we don’t think like that anymore?
I’ve become such a good grown up, I don’t do late night movies with popcorn and noodles anymore. Tonight, we change that.
1-2 weeks. Lamu is literal heaven, and Shanghai (2018) was like 2050 by global standards
taking a short lie-down to prepare for that email I need to write

That’s how I think of you!
Almost all of us are the descendants of immigrants who fled persecution, or were brought to America under duress, or sought better lives for themselves and their descendants.
Politicians who stoke fear and hatred over immigration want you to forget this.
Do not.
lol does it mean something?

You'd think all of this would drive another spike in users on Bsky and other alternatives, but I fear that everyone left over there is fully desensitized
my view is that everyone should be able to earn a living wage doing whatever it is they like. if you love working in a bookshop, you should be able to live a comfortable life doing so. if you loving being a barista, the same. and if you want to do more traditional blue collar work, that’s cool too!
one of the more endearing human behaviors imo is "tell 'em i say hi." even with ppl we don't know sometimes, if they make ppl we care about happy and you know they're on the line you just give a quick little "hi". we're like birds, just constantly making little companion calls to each other
We know what we have to do to save our city from Andrew Cuomo.

Despite all my complaining about New York this winter, I freaking love this city 🫠
Twitter is full of misinformation.
erm that's how generations work? without exception, everybody goes through the delusion that they're cooler than folks older than themselves. and then they learn.
