The first wave of my speaking tour is complete! Thanks to all who came out in Fresno, San Diego, & LA. It’s inspiring to be reminded that there are so many kind, dedicated people advocating for animals.
I’ll be in Portland on March 8th. More info at DxE.io/portlandtalk

12/14 will mark 1 year of me wearing an ankle monitor. Join my 1 Year Ankle Monitor Anniversary Party. While this will mostly be lighthearted, it’ll also be a reminder that repression will never destroy the movement for animal liberation. We will not be intimidated into silence and defeat.
1 year ago today, I was arrested for rescuing 4 sick chickens from a Perdue slaughterhouse. In the past year, I’ve been in & out of court. I go on trial in May facing 5+ yrs in prison. Perdue continues to criminally abuse chickens and law enforcement is doing nothing to stop it. #PerdueTrial
Leather comes from abused animals who often spent their entire lives in cruel conditions on factory farms. Every year on Black Friday, a protest is held outside of Mr. Michael’s in downtown San Luis Obispo asking them to stop supporting the horrific leather industry.
I’ve now been wearing an ankle monitor for over 11 months as a pretrial release condition. I’m facing 1 felony & 4 misdemeanors for rescuing 4 criminally abused chickens from a Perdue slaughterhouse. Meanwhile, I’m not aware of law enforcement taking any actions to stop the cruelty at Perdue.
The greatest threat to animal agriculture is the idea that animals are individuals.
When we liberate an animal, they become transformed in the public eye, no longer an object or a commodity, but someone with a name and story. This is Buddha.

VICTORY! Berkeley will become the first city in the US to ban factory farming. With the majority of the vote counted, 60% of Berkeley voters voted YES on Ballot Measure DD, a prohibition on Concentrated Animal Feeding Operations (CAFOs).

Yesterday morning, The Press Democrat, the largest newspaper in the county where I am being prosecuted, published a letter to the editor that I wrote about the upcoming Perdue Trial.
If you haven’t, please register to attend the trial in person at DxE.io/register
