A bit brisk in Tokyo this morning.

A bit brisk in Tokyo this morning.
Ahh is that the one near American sandwich place or a different one?
Of all the noodles talked about in Japan I feel abura soba ζ²Ήγγ° has been overlooked by visitors to Japan so far.
Definitely deserved more attention.

Amazing effort.
How many photos did you take?
New YouTube video is up.
Fun ride in Tokorozawa.

Looks like we are in for a glorious sunset across Tokyo this evening with the clear skies.
That one cracked me up too.
Wife told me to ride carefully on my way home so I sent her these.
She didnβt realise the most dangerous thing was cycling with just one crank, 1/2 cross 1/2 drop bar handlebar. Fellow Cyclists were right on it.
Nice to come across local festivals when I ducked out yesterday.
Was trying to shake the flu with some warm weather.
Super thankful for the air conditioning and shade on the train today.
Leaving the bike home for commute mightβve been a good idea.
Trying to decide tomorrow if I do a morning bike ride up to Kawagoe and back or I do a coffee stamp rally of all of the single o coffee shops in Tokyo to try to win a prize
Leaning tower of matcha softserve.
Didnβt plan to buy but someone walked past me eating one and I suddenly couldnβt resist.
While Iβm off the booze I do have a weakness for icecream in Japan.
After falling in love with the recent test ride of Harada-sanβs Samson bike Iβve asked GPT to help pick some colours and create mockups.
Just saved myself a few hours browsing Pinterest, bike forums and pages of multiple bike companies looking at colours or using web generators to imagine.
I might just go ant try to bake in my microwave that has a full on oven feature to see if I get better results after letting bread maker mix and ferment.
Thank you!
#homebakery anyone have advice for better home bakery bread?
Was delicious by the way.
Just baked this δΈζ€ loaf of white bread with 250gm of strong πͺ Hokkaido flour.
My cheap little bread maker gets a nice rise but I still canβt seem to get that perfect dome cooked loaf.
Larger wholewheat done day before went well but mightβve proofed a little early. Used slightly colder water today.
Iβd had my eye on a Curve bikes titanium frame for an upcoming milestone, but after riding the steel bike and seeing the 46yrs of experience and how that translates into a frame, Iβm now contemplating the steel frame.
Just dropped a new video! π₯
I visited the Samson Bicycles workshop in Fukuoka.
I couldnβt pass up the chance to ride one of his beautifully built bicycles. Japanese steel is real!

Think Iβm gonna move here if I can.
So nice.
Nooice Hakata serving up Australian style breakfast with a banger flat white and eggs Benedict.
Nice way to end the holiday.
Some really lovely looking cafes in Fukuoka.
Glad I headed out for breakfast on my last day in Fukuoka.
The new Hakata Nooice Aussie style cafe is, indeed nooooice, nooice, noooce!
I was surprised to see Boss Coffee on the supermarket shelves and in service station fridges last time back in Australia. I think they were $3.50 to $4.50 a can.
Generally avoid it, unless itβs the only option and then Iβm not drinking for taste of a good coffee either.
Cost of a can overseas is 3-4 times price here and generally really really sweet too.
Enjoyed some great coffees here in Fukuoka.
REC Coffee East, Unplugged and ECEU were my favourites.
Didnβt take a lot of photos of all places, just chilled and enjoyed. Unplugged though was too nice not to take a few photos.
Good morning all!
Just stopped at the @ 45km mark for a bottle refill & a Boss Coffee to go with my Hakata energy baked donut.
Left hotel on empty stomach with 3 bananas & this for ride around Itoshima.
Rented a Domane SL6 (gen4) from Trek Tenjin & itβs been the perfect bike.
Howβs everyoneβs day going?
Started mine off right I think.
Lap of Shika Island, climbed the hill to observatory and rode over the bridge joining the island to the mainland.
So sorry to hear the news on your loss.
Is it just me but I prefer the canned version over the bottled Pocari. Doesnβt seem as sweet.
