Oh so in australian radio you can be racist, sexist, homophobic, ableist, record your employees pissing and use a lie detector to publicly expose and humiliate a child for being a victim of sexual assault, but they will draw the line at directing any of that energy at your cohost

I’ve reserved a copy at my library. Looking forward to reading it. Almost as much as I’m looking forward to reading his obituary one day.

So politicians want school kiddies to be taught more ‘Australian values’?

Which ones are those? Alcoholism, toxic masculinity, colonialism, anti-science, anti-expert, ecocide, racism, genocide of First Nations peoples, banning public protest, profit at the expense of affordable homes?

Which ones?

I'm quoting Ed's part as the rest of the article is just rehashing the podcast and yesterday's sensationalist article.
I thought the ABC was better than the rubbish they put out yesterday, they're sinking to Commercial Broadcasting standards.
Here Ed explains how the club is making serious inroads into changing culture and creating the respectful culture we all expect or should I say demand in 2026.

The avoidance of blame when the netballers had their drinks spiked suggests the culture hasn't changed that much

Rae,
These allegations have no names to them at all. No Names just a faceless accusation by ABC journalists that I honestly hope the club is talking to lawyers about.
So be careful repeating them on social media without that little word "allegedly" in there somewhere.

How can a town protect rapists and just continue life like nothing has happened, it's just disgusting, people should boycott this town.

Yes they get to go on with their lives, deal with it.

The admin of the Balmoral community noticeboard on FB dealing well with ABC’s investigation of two footballers found guilty of rape.

Prince Andrew's Arrest Across the pond in Britain, justice and accountability is a serious matter

Never in a million years did I ever fathom when I resurrected the Epstein story in 2018 that it would lead to first arrest of a British Royal in four centuries. Not since King Charles I was arrested in 1647.

Australian with ISIS links in Syria temporarily blocked from coming home The federal government has  temporarily banned an Australian citizen linked to ISIS fighters from returning home from Syria.

Wonder if there are any Australian’s linked to Israeli officers committing war crimes 🤔.

One thing that astonishes me about the Herzog visit is that Israel has murdered more journalists than any other state in the 21st century, and he hasn’t faced a single question about this (to my knowledge) from the Australian media

Illustrated political poster showing the silhouette of QLD in bold blood red, textured like a lino print. Large hand-lettered text across the state reads, “From Brisbane River to Moreton Bay, I’ll decide what you can say!” A caricature of Queensland Premier David Crisafulli looms from the top right, looking down at the map. His finger presses into the lower part of Queensland, denting the surface and breaking a placard in half.

Up to 2 years in prison for saying “from the river to the sea, Palestine will be free” - that’s the legislation currently before Queensland Parliament under the Crisafulli government. They’re going to have to build more prisons before we choose to be silent about genocide.

I went out before today's Herzog protest at Parliament and saw this massive police surveillance tower. This is completely unnecessary, and intimidating, at a peaceful protest. Police need to be protecting protesters, not snooping on them, or attacking them.

wow - this is an astonishing high-up view of the police tactic of "kettling": trapping protesters and then squeezing that space smaller to provoke confrontation and justify police officers violently bashing and attacking protesters
