Texas has a $32.7 billion (estimated 2022-23 figure) “rainy day fund.” It only took approximately 200+ deaths (I’m including the missing) for Abbott to open the purse strings. I hope he decides to repair our power grid, which cost 200 lives a few years ago, & fund our public schools but I doubt it.
