This Shore Lark was showing exceptionally well on the cliff top at Skipsea yesterday, a chance to finally put the new Sony 400-800 through its paces, certainly seems sharp.

Have you thought of trying the Swarovski bino guard? I think they’re brilliant, flicks out of the way with one thumb when lifting your bins and goes back into position by itself as you lower them.

Successful little twitch to the Netherlands

I’ve got a Hikmicro Falcon FQ50, it’s a higher spec than you are after Steve but even so I never use more than base mag as image degrades so much.

I ditched google after finding out they only supported their phones with updates for 2 years which I found unacceptable on a £700 phone. It was a while ago (pixel 2) so might have changed but I’d check before going that route.

I use one of these on my BTX, it’s really good.

At least one of them appears to be a Robin. Most of the misidentifications appear to be a component of Robin song, next doors chickens or traffic, I’ve had the Puffin truck too, it’s good fun but really needs to be better, it knows the location but keeps having Short-toed Treecreeper!

My PUC has been set up for almost a week and has had some pretty unlikely species recorded. Considering It’s in East Yorkshire by far the wildest claim has to be Crested Tit. I’m tempted to start a new PUC only garden list! #BWPUC

The FZ330 is a great camera Paul, if you simply want more reach then look for a Nikon TCE17ED 1.7x teleconverter I’ve used one for years on the same camera they are optically brilliant. They’re long discontinued but come up on eBay infrequently expect to pay between £150-250 worth every penny
