The CJEU has declined to fast track a second batch of questions referred from Italian courts related to the Italy/Albania asylum deal. So in the short term the issue is up to politics - if the EU wants to pass an emergency asylum law or ordinary legislation to bring forward parts of the asylum pact.

Here we are! My impressions are out about the hearing in Comm v Hungary (Anti-LGBTQ+ Law) on the justiciability of EU values in Article 2 TEU. 16 States, Comm and Parl joined an emergency call to the CJEU to uphold EU values against democratic backlash. Happy to read your opinion!

In Geneva today 🇨🇭 to present an ongoing research with my colleague Francesca Bandini, on another CJEU hot potato: role of effective judicial protection in CFSP in the light of the recent KS and KD cases, whether the result is a coherent and complete system of remedies (spoiler: our answer is no)
