A few dowels, toothpicks, and some glue made for a beautiful and unique game piece that I hope they'll love.

The board itself is made from a strip of maple that was salvaged from the foot of an old book case. The sides are also salvaged: presumably maple or birch, they were the spines that provided support to bulk periodical (magazines/journals) storage in a library.

God Yule, folks! This is another personal project, not for sale. I made an upcycled cribbage board as a gift for a family member using wood from library/book-themed salvage.

Sanding the next batch of dice vaults. Trying a new CNC design, just a straight slot. Needed a lot of cleanup afterward, but these will still be some beautiful pieces.

This is the second pipe in this general style I've made--see my website for images of the other. I have more briarwood on-hand, so if you would like to commission a custom pipe, just get in touch.

I left the live edge at the top of the bowl as this pipe was very much inspired by Gandalf in the Lord of the Rings live action film trilogy.

The bowl of the pipe is made from Mimmo briarwood (named for the man who does the harvesting and processing in Italy), with a brass "inlay". The stem is a combination of Russian olivewood, American cherry, and black walnut.

I had the briarwood sitting around half shaped for nearly a year. The project was fraught with serious mistakes and mishaps, so the fact that it even came out the other side of the process is a testament to perseverance.

At some point last month I managed to finish this smoking pipe. This one's a personal project.

Each board comes with a drawstring bag, premium metal pins, and a free pack of cards. I have 2 black walnut boards available, as well as a black walnut board framed in live-edge Russian Olivewood.

Two cribbage boards made of walnut sit perpendicular, with black cloth pouches, playing cards, and metal pegs strewn about.

I've had these sitting around for some time, waiting for a final coat of poly and a grand plan on how to store the pins. I finally landed on the idea of just putting a hole through a corner to attach a drawstring bag to hold both the pins and a deck of cards.

Chatoyant ( shə-ˈtȯi-ənt ) : having a changeable luster or color with an undulating narrow band of white light. The term can refer to gems, but is also used to describe the effect in wood. It comes from the French chatoyer: "to shine like a cat's eyes."
